Karenna Gore is director of the Center for Earth Ethics at Union Theological Seminary. After graduating from Harvard University, she went on to receive a master’s in social ethics from Union Theological Seminary and a doctorate of law from Columbia Law School. She previously worked as a lawyer for Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and Sanctuary for Families, and as director of community affairs for the Association to Benefit Children, where she continues to serve on the board. She is the author of Lighting the Way: Nine Women Who Changed Modern America. She lives in New York City with her three children.
